The RedPlate Transporter’s Rules.
He will transport anything legal, no questions asked, from Point A to Point B, always on time, and he is known as the best in the business. He strictly follows three rules when transporting: Rule #1: “No new deals, when it’s a deal, it’s a deal”, Rule #2: “No names…Unless requested”, and Rule #3: “Don’t open the package”.

As a RedPlate Transporter you can offer on-demand services via:

RedPlate Route Taxi Service:

RedPlate will be offering two premium services in the Route Taxi sector islandwide. Fares applied are higher than regular route rates, offering greater levels of security, service and passenger experience.

1. RedPlate Premium Route…. From one fixed point to another at a fixed rate, on a time schedule and fixed number of passengers. Passengers CAN exit anywhere along the route, but the fare is the same.

2. RedPlate Premium Express Route….From one fixed point to another at a fixed rate, on a time schedule and fixed number of passengers. Passengers CANNOT exit anywhere along the route.

Delivery – Both of the above will be able to offer delivery service on their assigned routes only .

RedPlate Taxi (Hackney Carriage) while on the road this service allows passengers to book the closest private taxi to get them and their group where they’re going faster.

Delivery – Hackney Carriage will be able to offer delivery service.

RedPlate Executive is our exclusive range of Premium Passenger Cars and Commercial Vehicles allowing passengers to travel to their destination in greater comfort and style with newer and more spacious sedans.

RedPlate Premium Chauffeured Car Service is our exclusive International Corporate Executive and Diplomatic Service offering a range of Premium High end Passenger Cars and Commercial Vehicles allowing passengers to travel to their destination in greater comfort with newer and more spacious vehicles.

RedPlate Bus is designed to offer passengers the most cost efficient bus ride with health and security for them, loved ones, visiting friends and business associates high on the list. Our Premium Coaster Bus services will span the main coastal towns covering the width and breadth of Jamaica and take passengers to both National Airports.

Only carefully selected RedPlate Transporters will be used to offer Ride and Delivery service.

Taxi Associations & Companies
If you are a member of an established Taxi Association or Company, then you can also sign up through this Association or Company to offer Delivery Services. As part of its National Delivery and Logistics Rollout RedPlate will be working with the major taxi Association/Companies currently operating in Jamaica.

New Transporter Signup

All Drivers will go through a RedPlate Introduction and Familiarization session before joining the team as a RedPlate Transporter. The sessions will cover the role and responsibility of the RedPlate Transporter, how to use the RedPlate Smartphone and Application, customer service and expectations, and basic business skills among other things. All documents must be submitted and be approved by RedPlate in order to make the Driver Active as a Transporter.

Please note that once the RedPlate Smartphone and Application is assigned to a Transporter and vehicle it cannot be used by any other person, or used with another vehicle without the written approval of RedPlate. Failure to abide by this rule will result in the immediate termination and removal from the RedPlate System and platform.

As a new RedPlate Transporter you will be required to subscribe to the service and pay the first month followed by a weekly/monthly subscription fee, offering you the flexibility to choose a plan that fits your budget and work routine.

RedPlate Taxi Subscription Plans
1. Weekly Plan – JA$
2. Monthly Plan – JA$ per month
3. Six (6) Month (2 payments each year) – per month
4. Annual Plan (One (1) upfront payment)- Call for details.

Note that plans and rates are subject to periodic adjustments, which will be communicated ahead of any change.

RedPlate Virtual Wallet (RVW)
As a Transporter you will be assigned a secure RedPlate Virtual Wallet that can be viewed and accessed via your Transporter Profile on your smartphone. RedPlate use of a Virtual Wallets for Transporters allows for your increased safety and security, providing relief from collecting cash.
This also allows RedPlate to also collect subscription payments and related agreed service charges.

Customer Payments
RedPlate offers a seamless payment system through it application. Rates used and charged are agreed with you the Transporter, and so Farmers, Merchants and Customer will know upfront what is the charge before agreeing to the ride and the assigned transporter.

Your Transporter Profile:
You will be assigned a Transporter Profile, which can be viewed and edited on your smartphone. You will be able to
1. View Profile: Ability to view your profile. Profile parameters: first name, email, phone, profile picture.
2. Edit Profile: Ability to edit your profile, so you can keep the profile updated in the application. In case of editing email or phone number, email verification or OTP verification will be done.
3. Bookings: Ability to view all past bookings with booking ID, date, time of ride, customer name in card view, status of ride. On clicking the card, additional ride details such as details of ride placed, pickup/drop off address.
4. In app support feature: Ability to chat with a RedPlate support executives.
5. Sign Out: Ability to sign out of the application.
6. Availability: Ability to toggle available/not available to mark real-time availability. This determines whether you will be considered available for a new on-demand job assignment.
7. Ability to receive ride requests.
8. Ability to view ride details. When you tap on the booking card, it will show the complete details of the ride including booking name, customer name, ride details, icon to get directions to pick up/drop off location.
9. Ability to accept/reject the ride request.
10. Ability to provide reason for rejection.
11. Ability to update job status like on the way, reached pickup location, customer picked up/dropped off.
12. Waiting time is computed in the application when enabled. Standard logic is used whenever the average speed over 20 seconds reduces below 5 Km/Hour, the 20 second period is counted in waiting time.
13. Distance computation logic works primarily via GPS, if GPS data is inaccurate it uses estimates from Open Street Maps, if google distance matrix access is available it uses it as well. This is standard logic. If you have a device with very poor GPS availability during the ride or bad internet connections the distance measurement may not be accurate. Also distance measurement functionality is applicable for devices with onboard GPS chips only.

RedPlate Smartphone: Under the RedPlate App subscription plan each Transporter/vehicle will be fitted with One (1) RedPlate Smartphone with a 24/7 Data and Call plan. Please note that the RedPlate Smartphone remain the property of The RedPlate Company and at no time does the ownership or rights transferred.
Fare Round Off: Transporters will be able to round off the fare based on the currency denomination.
Favorite Transporters: Customers can mark their Transporter as favorite allowing them to add a preference of the Transporter while placing subsequent ride requests.
Payment Gateway: We have added the support of a Payment Gateway. Customers can pay for rides and do cashless payments via debit and credit cards.
Cash Integration: Customers can pay for rides via cashless payments
Fleet Management: Taxi Companies will have the ability to onboard their fleet and engage their Transporters to help improve the supply.
Shuttle Services: Transporters and Taxi Companies will have the ability to create fixed routes and build shuttle services.
Multiple Destination: Customers can book rides with multiple destinations in a single ride.
Call Masking: Ability to mask calls to protect customers’ and Transporters’ personal phone numbers from being exchanged and improve privacy.
Customer Verification & Approval: RedPlate is able to verify registered customers on the platform to improve security for Transporters.
Customer Notes: Customers can add notes while placing a request and the Transporter can view the notes before accepting the Ride.
Transporter Emergency Mode: Transporters can enable Emergency Mode to notify admin and the emergency contacts in case of any threat.
RedPlate Bickle & Marketplace Services: We have added RedPlate Bickle marketplace functionality in the platform. Merchants like Restaurants, Pharmacies, Grocery Stores, Florists can place delivery and pickup requests with the Transporter. Customers can also place a custom order to request anything, anytime from anywhere. The request is inputted in a text box e.g. (Need medicine A from Shop X in Locality Z).
Automatic Toll Fee: We have added the ability to add toll fee in the rides based on pick up points and destinations. Transporters will have to define the toll applicability based on the pickup points and destinations. Transporters have the option to edit the toll if the need arises, and can add additional toll if necessary before ending the ride.
Scheduled Rides: Customers have the option to book the ride in advance. Nearby Transporters will get the request upto 30 min before the pickup time, with a special indicator for the scheduled ride. On acceptance the Transporter will see the pickup time to pick the customer. Customers can cancel the scheduled ride any time before the Transporter has been allocated for the ride. However, they can also cancel if needed before the start of the ride.
Note: This feature does not guarantee availability of Transporter at all times, and availability depends on the supply conditions.
Manual Ride Booking by Transporter: We have added the ability for the Transporter to book the ride from the Transporter app itself, by entering the details of the customer. The only payment mode available in such rides is “Cash”.
Multiple Service Requests to Transporter: We have allowed Transporters to configure the requests of different services they wish to receive. Services which a particular vehicle type can receive is decided by RedPlate.
Tips: Customers can give tips to the Transporters. Tips can be given while the ride is going on, or after the ride has been completed.
